Welcome to Weyfarers
Leaders in recreational and touring rowing

Weyfarers is the recreational arm of Weybridge Rowing Club. We are one of just a handful of recreational and touring rowing clubs in the UK, formed for and by people who think rowing should be FUN!

  • No time to train 8 days a week?
  • Love rowing, but want to have a life as well?
  • Never tried rowing, but want to have a go?

Then maybe YOU should try recreational rowing!!

Don't get us wrong - we don't just paddle around. We aim to improve our technique and get fit, just like our more competitive friends. But our horizons are wider.....

Never rowed before? No problem! We run learn to row courses in the Spring, Summer and Autumn.

The next Learn to Row course starts in July 2016 and comprises 10 sessions - Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons for 5 weeks.  Book now to reserve a place.

Recent rowing events
A good time was had by all at the Head of the Dart on Saturday 16th April, despite the blustery conditions.  We entered 4 crews - Roy's crew (with John, Caroline and Sarah, coxed by Ian) rowed in Dionysus and did a creditable time of 1 hr 14 mins 7 secs against a strong head wind but had no opposition so didn't get a pennant.  The winning touring crew of Sharon, Linda, Nigel, Nick and Andrew did an impressive 1 hr 23 mins 58 secs, including changing coxes half way - well done!  Full results here
National Tour 2016
Details of this year's National Tour are now available.  We will be in Yorkshire, rowing on the Aire & Calder Canal, New Junction Canal and River Don Navigation, starting in Leeds, going through Doncaster and finishing at our hotel in Mexborough.  Full details and application form here.
