Welcome to Weyfarers
Leaders in recreational and touring rowing

Weyfarers is the recreational arm of Weybridge Rowing Club. We are one of just a handful of recreational and touring rowing clubs in the UK, formed for and by people who think rowing should be FUN!

  • No time to train 8 days a week?
  • Love rowing, but want to have a life as well?
  • Never tried rowing, but want to have a go?

Then maybe YOU should try recreational rowing!!

Don't get us wrong - we don't just paddle around. We aim to improve our technique and get fit, just like our more competitive friends. But our horizons are wider.....

Never rowed before? No problem! We run learn to row courses in the Spring, Summer and Autumn.  The dates of our 2015 courses are now available.

Our address:

Latest News
News from Chile!
Annette writes: "I am still alive! Everything's fine so far. No punctures yet! but it has been quite demanding the day before. We had to cycle for more than 70km to be able to make to the next pueblo. It was raining and the road was very muddy and I had to be careful to go downhill through the gravel which could be slippery. If you want to look at your worst : do this trip! Full of mud and wet but you will be happy to know that my "derriere" is still intact!" There's a photo on our photo page
FISA Tour 2015
Details of this year's FISA Tour, from 12th - 18th September on Lake Maggiore, Italy, have just been released.   See our Touring page for details.  Entries must be in by 31st January.
Weybridge Winter Head
The Weybridge Winter Head included a category for "Explore" coxed quads for the first time this year.  We had 3 crews in the event, and loaned boats to Guildford and Burway so they could take part as well.   Everyone enjoyed themselves, and Roy, Mel, Kate and Jayne, coxed by Lara, won the event.  Full results here and photos here.  Our boats were in Division 2.
This week's outings
We are still on yellow boards.  Outings as usual, but everyone should have passed the competency test.
