Forthcoming rowing events
The next British Rowing event is
Molesey Head on Saturday 13th February at 2 p.m. We have entered
one crew so come and cheer them on!
Hillingdon Skills Regatta will be on Saturday 28th February.
Details to follow.
The AGM will be on Thursday 16th February in the Weybridge clubhouse.
The British Rowing Tourers Dinner will be on Saturday 5th March at
Leander Club, Henley. A chance to meet touring rowers from other
clubs and find out about this year's tour.
Weyfarers are also welcome to join in the Weybridge RC
lunchtime Sunday Socials on the first Sunday of each month. Free
nibbles and a chance to relax over a drink or two in the club bar.
Our two crews performed
creditably in the Hyne Cup (7th February) in near perfect conditions.
Our new singles have arrived!
We have just acquired two new Swift training single sculls (similar to
our training doubles) so those of you who want to try single sculling
but are too nervous to go out in a racing single now have no excuse!
Sign up for the Sunday 9 a.m. outing and have a go!
The blade rack has
been reinforced (thanks to John and Annette) and all our blades are
now stored behind the hut.
We are still waiting for permission from the Environment Agency to
connect our toilet into the sewer at Weybridge RC, so you'll just have
to keep your legs crossed a bit longer!
