Weyfarers Rowing Club
We are on Weybridge Ait, a small island between the Wey Navigation and and a backwater of the Thames which goes round Hamhaugh Island. There is no road access to the club, and Satellite Navigation systems will take you to Hamhaugh Island, not us!
How to get there:
Trains run from London Waterloo Station to Weybridge roughly every half hour. We are about 2 km from the station, so unless you are fit, get a taxi! Go up Heath Road, which turns into Church Street. Turn left at the mini-roundabout into Balfour Road. Turn right into Devonshire Road, then right at the end into Portmore Park Road. Turn left into Radnor Road, and follow the footpath through the houses and over the footbridge until you come to the road (this is a private road to the houses on Whittet's Ait). Cross over and continue along the footpath, which comes out at Thames Lock.
From the M25, take the A320 Woking/Chertsey exit and follow the A317 to Weybridge. You will join the map above on Weybridge Road, about a third of the way up on the left-hand side. Turn left into Portmore Park Road, find somewhere to park, and follow the directions above from Radnor Road.
From the A3, take the A245 towards Weybridge/Walton/Woking. Turn right at the traffic lights into Seven Hills Road. At the big roundabout, take the first left signposted A317 Weybridge (Queen's Road). Turn right then left at the two mini-roundabouts. Continue along Monument Hill, then High Street, then Church Street. Go straight over the mini-roundabout into Balfour Road, turn right into Devonshire Road, then right into Portmore Park Road. Park, and follow the directions above from Radnor Road.
